CAUTION: Do not use this feature unless you know what the impact will be. This feature is intended only to be used to deal with unforeseen tokenization issues with your gateway. It may also be used for testing.
You can use this feature to update tokens if you change gateways, but this should only be used for small amounts of data. If you need to change gateways, be sure to plan accordingly as there are multiple pieces that have to be changed at the same time. Concepts2Code can help you with this process. Please allocate time for the migration (a few weeks) and testing (a few days). Notify our team if you plan on migrating gateways and we can assist you with the process. You should also ensure that your CRM can handle the migration.
To create (or change) a token on and existing payment:
- Go to the Consumer's Account page.
- Click Payments on the top navigation menu.
- Locate and click on the specific payment on the far left of the payments grid as shown below:
- Click on the Create Gateway Token on the top left of the screen.
- Review the notations on the screen to ensure the new token is needed:
- Click Create Token
A new token will be created based on your current gateway. - Process the payment in your collection system using the newly created token. Follow the instructions in your existing CRM to update the token in that system and then process it there.
