Agents may need to manually Opt-Out consumers from receiving future email or text/phone calls which requires them to adjust the current contact preferences on behalf of the consumer. To make a change to the consumers current form of communication or opt-out of certain communications to a specified email or text/phone number follow these instructions.
Go the Consumers page.
Enter in the consumers Reference Number (account number).
Click on the Reference Number from the grid.
Click on the Edit Personal Information in the Action section on the top of the screen.
Under Actions, click on the the drop-down options.
Select the Update Email Address or Unsubscribe from Collection Emails option.
Select how the changes will be applied to the consumers account(s): This Account Only or All packeted accounts
Click Update.
Once updated the consumers email will be added to the Blacklist (Do Not Email) list. All future communications to this email address will be restricted.
To Opt-Out of Text/Phone Communications
Visit the opt-out page for the consumer portal.
Select Opt out of receiving text messages and/or phone calls.
Enter the the Phone or Text Number to be removed.
Select what to opt the consumer out of receiving.
Select if there is a different contact number.
Check the re-CAPTCHA
Click Opt-Out.
Once updated, the consumers phone number will be added to the Blacklist (Do Not Text) list. All future text communications to this phone number will be restricted.
