Agents may need to manually Opt-Out consumers from receiving future email or text/phone calls which requires them to adjust the current contact preferences on behalf of the consumer. To make a change to the consumers current form of communication or opt-out of certain communications to a specified email or text/phone number follow these instructions.
- Go the Consumers page.
- Enter in the consumers Reference Number (account number).
- Click on the Reference Number from the grid.
- Click on the Edit Personal Information in the Action section on the top of the screen.
- Under Actions, click on the the drop-down options.
- Select the Opt-out option.
- Select how the changes will be applied to the consumers account(s): This Account Only or All packeted accounts
- Click Update.
Once updated the consumers email will be added to the Blacklist (Do Not Email) list. All future communications to this email address will be restricted.
